Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi – Two Against One // Black

Standard

Before there was just Cee Lo Green singing “Fuck You” by himself, he was in a group with Danger Mouse… called Gnarls Barkley.  Remember “Crazy?”  I mean, how could anyone forget (It’s one of the top 50 songs of the decade…)  My personal fave from Gnarls Barkley was “Smiley Faces.”

Anywho, while Cee Lo was winning Grammys for “Fuck You,” Danger Mouse won a Grammy for Best Producer for his work on the Black Keys, Broken Bells, and the Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse albums.  Since 2005, he has been working with Daniele Luppi to put together what is to be a spaghetti western album titled Rome. Two tracks were released today to give you a taste as to what to look forward to.  The first track, “Two Against One,” features Jack White while the second track, “Black,” features Norah Jones.

I personally like “Two Against One” more than “Black,” but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I’m still sad that The White Stripes will no longer be making music together.  I want to get my Jack White fill in as much as possible.
